Record breakers: Chief Executive Donald Tsang witnesses the breaking of a Guinness World Record by 3,300 students who made a giant finger painting at Victoria Park.

About 3,300 students have broken a Guinness World Record by making a giant finger painting featuring anti-drug messages at Victoria Park.

Witnessed by Chief Executive Donald Tsang, 200 Police volunteers today led the students to produce the giant painting, measuring more than 2,100 square metres and carrying the anti-drug slogan, Not Now, Not Ever, Say No to Drugs.

The Guinness World Record adjudicator announced the breaking of the record upon completion of the painting. A certificate was presented to the students. Mr Tsang then led them to make a pledge together, symbolising their commitment and determination in fighting drug abuse.

The painting will be replicated in banners and displayed at immigration checkpoints, public amenities, non-governmental organisations and schools.

A multimedia exhibition of the event's highlights will also be held at the Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre in Admiralty from December to March.
