James Yiu has been appointed Auxiliary Police Deputy Commandant.
Mr Yiu, 52, is the managing director of a local capital-management consultancy. He joined the Auxiliary Police as a constable in 1976, and was promoted to superintendent in 1988 and to chief superintendent in 2003. He has been serving as the Chief Superintendent Hong Kong Island region for four years.
Mr Yiu was awarded the long service medal in 1997 and first clasp in 2001. He was awarded the police medal for meritorious service on July 1.
