    Elderly woman killed in robbery

Police are investigating the death and robbery of a 76-year-old woman found in her Fanling home yesterday.

She was last seen exercising in the front yard of her two-storey stone hut in Ko Po Pak Chuen two days earlier. A neighbour contacted her family who then called Police, fearing she may have collapsed.

Officers and relatives found her dead in a second floor bedroom bound and gagged with nylon ropes and adhesive tape. She had been dead for about two days and had two cuts on her forehead.

The fence gate was locked but not the main door. Several rooms had been ransacked.

Detectives are now waiting for post-mortem examination results.
