Secretary for Development Carrie Lam met officials from the Singapore Green Building Council and Strata Titles Boards in Singapore today to learn about their promotion of green buildings and tackling building disputes in multi-storey premises.

She also met Urban Redevelopment Authority Chief Executive Officer Cheong Kook-hean and Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Wei Wei.

Mrs Lam briefed the Singapore officials on the work of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, particularly its recently upgraded BEAM Plus assessment method. She also invited them to join the council's conference in Hong Kong in November.

She will speak at the World Cities Summit's Ministerial Dialogue and a plenary session tomorrow to brief participants on Hong Kong's latest efforts in striving for a quality city environment.
