The Land Registry today said sale and purchase agreements for all types of building units received for registration in December was 6,111. This was an increase of 5.2% over November but a decrease of 20.2% compared with December 2001.
Using a 12-month moving average, the figure for December represented a decrease of 1.8% from November and 2.6% compared with December 2001.
The total consideration of these agreements in the month was $13 billion, up 24.2% over November and down 26.8% on December 2001.
