Ma On Shan residents now have a fantastic excuse to have fun and keep fit. Ma On Shan Recreation Ground has now opened, providing a host of outdoor leisure and sports facilities for people of all ages.

Next to the Ma On Shan Sports Ground, the 4.1-hectare location is the first Leisure & Cultural Services Department recreation ground in the area.

It features an 11-a-side artificial-turf soccer pitch, two outdoor tennis courts, two outdoor basketball courts and a seven-a-side hard-surface soccer pitch. There is also a children's play area, elderly exercise stations and a pebble path.

The tennis and basketball courts and seven-a-side soccer pitch are open daily from 7am to 11pm, while the 11-a-side soccer pitch is open from 8am to 11pm.   Reservations and enquiries on charges for the 11-a-side soccer pitch and tennis courts can be made 30 days in advance via the ESD Life website, the Leisure Link Telephone Booking Hotline and all Leisure Link outlets.   The basketball courts and the seven-a-side soccer pitch are free.   The ground is located at 1 Hang Hong Street, Ma On Shan, New Territories.
