A 30-year-old woman who arrived from Indonesia last week has been confirmed to have cholera, the Centre for Health Protection said today.

She came down with diarrhoea and vomiting on August 18, the day after she arrived in Hong Kong. She was admitted to Kwong Wah Hospital and her condition is stable.

She tested positive for Vibrio cholerae O1 Ogawa.
