Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow is meeting Guangdong's Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Bureau director Li Yanhui in Guangzhou today to discuss food-safety issues and foster co-operation between both sides.

Accompanied by the bureau's deputy director Huang Weiming, Dr Chow will also go to Yangjiang in the afternoon to visit a marine fish farm. The farm cultures about 11 kinds of marine fish with an annual supply of about 229 tonnes.

Dr Chow will also visit an oyster-farming zone tomorrow morning. It has about 300 farmers and produces about 60,000 tonnes of oysters a year.
