Tainted milk enquiry hotline to cease
*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection hotline for public enquiries about renal cases in connection with milk products contaminated with melamine - 2125 1133 - will stop operation from April 1.

The daily press release on the development of the issue will continue until March 31, the centre added. However, any new renal case related to consumption of melamine tainted milk products will be made public.

With decreasing demand for the screening service, the free health screening service for children with consumption history of melamine-tainted milk products in the 18 designated clinics will operate until March 31.

The free special assessment clinic services will remain in operation until April 9 or when all cases referred from the designated clinics have been provided with further assessment service.
