The Centre for Food Safety has found an egg from Hubei Province to contain excessive melamine.

The medium-sized egg was taken from a restaurant. It had a production date of October 10 and production batch number 4200/D0701808223. The level of melamine detected was 2.9ppm.

The centre has asked the trade to stop selling the products. People can call 2381 6096 for the product information.
