An exhibition on the Mainland's moon exploration programme is being held at the Hong Kong Space Museum. The free Fly Me to the Moon exhibition will run until year's-end.

The Chang'e-1, China's first lunar satellite, launched yesterday at Xichang. It will produce three-dimensional images of the lunar surface, detect the composition of the lunar surface, probe lunar soil, and explore the cislunar space environment.

The exhibition introduces Chang'e-1's missions, its scientific instruments, flight sequence and tracking, and space exploration in the past 50 years.
