Three out of 200 spicy snack and soup-mix samples have been found with trace amounts of non-permitted dyes, the Centre for Food Safety says.
The centre collected 100 spicy snack samples and 100 soup-mix samples to test for colouring matter, including Sudan dyes, Acid Red 52, Orange II, Yellow OB, and Dimethyl Yellow.
A corn chip sample and a spicy sliced cuttlefish sample contained trace amounts of Sudan dyes, while a rice cracker sample contained Acid Red 52.

The samples were collected from three supermarkets. The centre has issued warning letters to the food premises concerned and asked them to stop selling the batch of food items.
Since the levels of non-permitted dyes detected were low, normal consumption of the products is unlikely to pose adverse health effects, the centre added.
