People should stop all water-based activities in Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department says, following the sighting of another juvenile shark today.
The shark, about 90 to 120 centimetres long, was sighted by department staff near the shore at Sam Po Shek at 1.54pm.
People should not swim or dive in the park for the time being. For their own safety, anyone in the water will be asked to leave immediately.
Leisure & Cultural Services Department will close the Stanley Main Beach and St Stephen's Beach Water Sports Centres from tomorrow. The Jockey Club Wong Shek Water Sports Centre and Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre remain closed.
The water sports activities at the artificial lake of Chong Hing Water Sports Centre will continue but all sea touring activities away from the centre will be suspended.
