Flower exhibits contest results out

Flower show exhibits contest winner (open section)
Floral beauty: Tsang Wai-ling's exhibit has been named champion of the flower show exhibits contest's open section. 

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department has announced winners of the 2006 Flower Show exhibits contest. Tsang Wai-ling is champion of the open section while Hong Chi Morninghill School in Tuen Mun is the school section winner.

 

The winner of the department's Western Style Garden Plot Competition is Eastern District while the winner of the Oriental Style Garden Plot Competition is Wong Tai Sin District.

 

The exhibits competition attracted more than 2,600 entries, and the judges deemed the overall standard of entries outstanding.

 

The flower show is open from 9am to 9pm until March 12 with tickets on sale at Victoria Park, the department's district leisure services offices, and venues with Leisure Link services.

 

Admission for adults is $14, and half price for children, students, the elderly and the disabled. The latter two get free admission weekdays, while adults in a group of 30 or more can get in for half price. For more details, click here. For enquiries, call 2697 8030 or fax 2691 7264.
