A free New Year's Eve countdown carnival featuring arts performances, clowns and magicians, and a marching band will be held at Sha Tin Park and Sha Tin Town Hall at 8.30pm December 31.

The carnival will reach its climax at midnight with the launch of a spectacular light show complemented with pyrotechnics.

There will also be a lantern display, a garden for photo-taking and fortune telling.
