The number of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance cases rose 0.2%, to 295,703 in September, the Social Welfare Department says.

 

Unemployment cases dropped 0.7% to 47,089. This is the 12th consecutive month the figure has slipped.

 

The case numbers of low earners rose 1.2% to 15,688, while those of single-parent family groups rose 0.2% to 39,197.
