Product recalled: The Department of Health advises the public not to use the health product "Morgan". |
The Department of Health has ordered the recall of a health product "Morgan" which contains the Western drug ingredient Tadalafil, used for impotence.
The product is not registered under the Pharmacy & Poisons Ordinance and the importer must recall the products from the market within seven days.
Tadalafil is a prescription drug and its use must be supervised by medical practitioners as it could cause side effects such as headache and upset stomach.
It will also cause serious hypotension among people with heart diseases.
Consumers advised to stop using drug
Consumers who have purchased the product are advised to stop using them, dispose of the product or surrender it to the department.

Importers and retailers are reminded that the possession and sale of unregistered pharmaceutical products is an offence liable to a maximum penalty of $100,000 fine and two years' imprisonment.
