Night lights: The Tourism Board's Mid-autumn Lantern Celebration in Victoria Park features a giant lantern which is believed to be the world's largest, plus a hot-air balloon and numerous other lantern displays.

A giant lantern, believed to be the world's largest, made its debut at the opening ceremony of the Tourism Board's Mid-autumn Lantern Celebration in Victoria Park on Sunday evening.

The giant lantern is one of the highlights of the celebration. With a diameter of 35 metres it is a hybrid of traditional Chinese and contemporary design concepts.
