*

This was the message from Deputy Director of Health Dr Leung Pak-yin today who attended the meeting of health and medical professionals from the three jurisdictions. He said he hoped the good co-operation will continue.

Delegates also discussed extending the notification mechanism to cover other infectious diseases, like Dengue fever and flu.

Guangdong Health Department Assistant Director-General He Zhaofu said now the World Health Organisation has lifted its travel advisory on the province and Hong Kong, the two jurisdictions should consolidate their SARS prevention efforts to prevent its return.
