The Home Affairs Department in collaboration with the 18 District Councils today launched a campaign that aims to boost the local community economy by promoting the treasure trove of attractions contained in Hong Kong's 18 districts.
Nine "green tours" will be organised to help the public get to know the beauty of Hong Kong's natural environment.
Visitors will see coral reefs and Chinese white dolphins, experience the unspoiled delights of Double Haven, Lai Chi Wo and the Soko Islands, and hike the trails of Lion Rock and Tai Mo Shan country parks.
Speaking at the kick-off ceremony at Kowloon Park, Secretary for Home Affairs Dr Patrick Ho said the natural environment in Hong Kong is so beautiful that international broadcasters like Discovery Channel often come to film it.
Hong Kong's magnificent nightscape is renowned throughout the world, he said, adding that Japanese visitors love our country parks.
