The Environmental Protection Department has rated water quality at 21 beaches 'good', 11 'fair' and one 'poor' for this weekend.

Compared with last week, Cafeteria New and Old Beaches improved from fair to good. Kiu Tsui, Kwun Yam, Middle Bay and Upper Cheung Sha Beach downgraded from good to fair.

Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido Beach - are closed to swimmers year round because of poor water quality.
