The Environmental Protection Department recorded 41 pollution convictions in June.

Sixteen were for waste disposal, 10 for air pollution, eight for noise, four for product eco-responsibility, two for water pollution and one for hazardous chemicals.

The month's heaviest fine - $20,000 - was imposed for importing controlled waste without a permit.
