The Environmental Protection Department has opened a compliance assistance centre in Wanchai, to provide one-stop services for businesses on updated environmental compliance rules, pollution prevention and environmental management.

The services offered include:

* advice on environmental regulatory requirements and  tackling common pollution problems;

* offering updated compliance guides, green practices and environmental management tools; and

* keeping a list of environmental consultants and contractors.

The department has formed the partnership programmes with the construction, restaurant, vehicle-repair workshop and property management trades. Forming the centre helps it to reach out to assist all business trades in moving towards an environmentally sustainable business.
