Water quality at 26 beaches has been rated 'good' by the Environmental Protection Department and seven 'fair' for this weekend. Click here for details.
As many beaches are likely to be more polluted than their grades suggest during and after heavy rain, bathers should avoid swimming at beaches for up to three days after a storm or heavy rainfall.
Seven gazetted beaches - Anglers', Approach, Ting Kau, Casam, Gemini, Hoi Mei Wan and Lido - are closed to swimmers year-round because of poor water quality. The public is advised not to swim at these beaches.
The latest beach gradings are available on the department's website or the beach hotline 2511 6666.
