The Environmental Protection Department handed down 76 convictions in October for breaching anti-pollution regulations.
Among them, 46 were related to air pollution, 17 noise control, 8 waste disposal and 5 water pollution.
One company received two fines of $35,000 - the heaviest for October - for using power mechanical equipment and for carrying out prescribed construction works in breach of the conditions of a construction noise permit.
