Twenty-five pollution convictions were meted out last month, the Environmental Protection Department says.
Thirteen cases were for air pollution, six for noise control, three for waste disposal, two for dumping at sea and one for water pollution.
The heaviest fine was $25,000 against a company that carried out prescribed construction works breaching conditions of its construction noise permit, while another was also fined $25,000 for using non-compliant powered mechanical equipment.
Meanwhile, a man was sentenced to two months' jail for exporting controlled waste without a permit.
