The hues of Hoi Ha Wan: The Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park prestige stamp booklet to be issued on May 10.

A prestige stamp booklet and a souvenir cover depicting the wildlife and educational facilities of Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park will be issued on May 10.

Postmaster General Allan Chiang said the booklet contains two stamp sheetlets, each bearing two stamps selected from the Hong Kong-Canada Joint Stamp Issue on Corals from May last year. The sheetlets are unique as they incorporate double perforations.

Both the sheetlets and the booklet were designed by Bon Kwan and printed in Lithography (Hexachrome Stochastic) by Walsall Security Printers in the United Kingdom.

The Prestige Stamp Booklet, priced at $25, will be on sale at all post offices and at the WWF Hong Kong Panda Shops in Central and Mai Po.

The booklet will be on display from April 17 at the General, Tsim Sha Tsui, Tsuen Wan and Sha Tin Central Post Offices. Official souvenir covers at $1 each go on sale at all post offices the same day.

Advance orders for servicing self-provided souvenir covers will be accepted at all post offices from April 17 to 26.

On May 10, sets of two serviced souvenir covers and a stamp sheetlet from the booklet, cancelled with the special postmark, will be on sale for $18.80 each at all post offices. No loose stamp sheetlets will be sold.

Each queuing customer will be allowed up to five Prestige Stamp Booklets and five sets of serviced souvenir covers.

Hand-back service for official and privately made souvenir covers bearing an indication of the event and a local address will be provided at all post offices on May 10. A special postmark will also be introduced, while the GPO-1 date stamp and the pictorial postmark of the individual philatelic office will be available.

Counter offices will observe normal Saturday hours on the day of the issue. The public hall of the Hongkong Post Stamps Philatelic Bureau will be open from 9am to 1pm for date stamping covers with the "Hongkong Post Stamps" pictorial postmark, the GPO-1 postmark and the special postmark.
