The Government has launched a second round of roving exhibitions promoting the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement on the Mainland. The tour will visit 10 Mainland cities - Ha'erbin, Shenyang, Yantai, Qingdao, Jinan, Hefei, Suzhou, Ningbo, Nanchang and Changsha.
Director of the Government's Beijing Office Bowen Leung said the event will promote CEPA's benefits to a wider audience.
"Hong Kong enterprises are renowned for their business acumen. With the support of the Central Government and provincial authorities, as well as the active promotion by the Hong Kong Government and other organisations, many Hong Kong products and companies have successfully entered the Mainland market under CEPA," Mr Leung said.
Since CEPA's implementation on January 1, the Government has issued more than 1,400 Certificates of Hong Kong Origin, involving a total export value of more than $580 million covering products like textiles and clothing, pharmaceuticals, electrical and electronic goods, dyes and plastics.
On trade in services, more than 400 applications for Services Suppliers Certificates have been approved, mainly covering industries like logistics, distribution, value-added telecommunications services and advertising.
