Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology John Tsang left Hong Kong this afternoon to pay his first duty visit to Beijing since he took up his post in early August.

During the two-day visit, he will call on the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Information Industry and the Ministry of Science & Technology.

Accompanying Mr Tsang on the visit will be the Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Industry & Technology (Communications & Technology) Francis Ho, and the Director-General of Telecommunications Au Man-ho.

Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on September 4.
