Fun science: The Geopark Visitor Centre has opened at the Lions Nature Education Centre in Tsiu Hang, Sai Kung.

The Geopark Visitor Centre has opened at the Lions Nature Education Centre in Tsiu Hang, Sai Kung, to promote greater interest in earth sciences and raise awareness in preserving geological heritage.

The centre features display boards and rock specimens from across Hong Kong. Visitors can learn about Hong Kong's geological history, fold and fault structures, landscapes, rocks and fossils.

There will also be a video introducing the geological attractions of the Geopark and animations showing the formation process of different landforms and interactive computer games.

The Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department facility is open daily from 9.30am to 4.30pm except Tuesdays. Click here for more information.
