"Teachers, after implementing Quality Education Fund projects, are more prepared to explore new teaching methods and more receptive to new ideas. They also put more emphasis on peer collaboration to achieve their mission," Mr Wong said.
Quality Education Fund Steering Committee Chairman Pang Yiu-kai said more than 17,000 applications have been received since the fund's establishment, with more than 7,000 approved with grants amounting to $3.5 billion.
Looking ahead Mr Pang said the fund will boost professional collaboration with publishers on research and development of project deliverables for more effective dissemination of teaching resources.
