More than 200 elderly have graduated from the Museum Classroom for Senior Citizens course organised by the Heritage Museum and the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council.
Permanent Secretary for Labour & Welfare Paul Tang, Director of Leisure & Cultural Services Thomas Chow, and Elderly Commission Chairman Dr Leong Che-hung officiated at the graduation ceremony at the museum today.
The 12-day course was held between May and September last year. It was based on the museum's four permanent exhibitions - the History of the New Territories, Cantonese Opera & Songs, Ink Painting & Calligraphy, and Chinese Antiquities.
Participants explored the exhibition topics in detail through guided tours and workshops. They also earned credits by taking the course for their study programme at the Community University for the Elderly.
