The Government will open a recruitment exercise for 40 Administrative Officer and 150 Executive Officer II candidates for appointment on civil service terms in 2007-08. Deadline for application is October 8.
All permanent Hong Kong residents who possess the required degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent qualifications, or those who will obtain their final degree in 2008 may apply. Those applying for the Administrative Officer post should have at least seven years of residence in Hong Kong.
Applicants need to obtain 'Level 2' results in the two language papers and a pass in the aptitude test in the Common Recruitment Examination. Those who have applied for the coming exam on October 6 in Hong Kong or on November 24 overseas will have their applications processed subject to their obtaining the requisite results.
Qualified applicants will be invited to attend the joint recruitment exam on November 24. Overseas candidates may take the exam on the same date in six overseas cities.
Recruitment advertisements will be placed in the South China Morning Post, Ming Pao and Sing Tao Daily on September 15, 22 and 29, and on the Civil Service Bureau's homepage, and GovHK on the Internet from tomorrow.
Application forms (CSB 606 and CSB 606A) (Rev. 9/2007) are available at the Civil Service Bureau website, or at the Home Affairs Department Public Enquiry Service Centres, and any Job Centre of the Labour Department Employment Services Division.
Each applicant should submit only one application, either in person, by post or online. Duplicate applications will result in delays in processing .
