All subvented Secondary 6 places have been filled after Stage IV of the S6 Admission Procedure.

The Education & Manpower Bureau said as there were no vacancies, the central allocation application process scheduled for tomorrow will be cancelled and the Central Allocation Application Centres will not be operating.

Students who are still unable to secure an S6 place may be able to get a place at the beginning of the new school year because some students may have decided not to take up their S6 places.

Vacancy information will be available on the bureau's website and at all Regional Education Offices throughout September. Applications should be made to these schools direct.

Students can also choose from a wide range of further study opportunities, including Project Yi Jin, post-secondary programmes, the Youth Work Experience & Training Scheme, as well as training places provided by the Vocational Training Council.

The Project Yi Jin Joint Registration will be held from 10am to 6pm at the International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay on August 12 and 13. Interested students can obtain programme details and submit applications on the spot.
