The 2006 secondary six admission procedure will begin August 9 after the certificate of education examination results are released. This year, more than 25,000 S6 places are available.
A hotline - 2116 5737 - will handle queries about the admission procedure from August 7 to August 16.

To help students to apply to other schools at Stages II and IV, the Education & Manpower Bureau will release S6 vacancy information on the internet and through the Interactive Voice Response telephone hotline, 3560 6888.
Eight joint admissions centres will be set up for schools in Tai Po, North, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, Tsuen Wan, Kwai Tsing and Islands Districts. Click here for details.
This year, 93 schools have opted to count points awarded on merit of a pass in career-oriented curriculum courses for students' applications for admission to S6. This school list is available on the bureau's home page.
In case of bad weather, the S6 admission procedure may be postponed. Special arrangements for the affected stages of the procedure will be announced through radio and television.
