The Education & Manpower Bureau has welcomed the establishment of the Joint Quality Review Committee, by the eight institutions under the aegis of the University Grants Committee, to oversee the quality of self-financed sub-degree programmes.
The bureau said the move will enhance the quality of sub-degree courses and strengthen public confidence in the quality of sub-degree programmes.
Self-financed sub-degree programmes provided by the eight committee-funded institutions together with their schools of continuing education account for over half of the self-financed sub-degree programmes offered in Hong Kong.
