586 students apply for S6 places allocation
*

A total of 586 students have applied for the remaining 69 subvented Secondary Six  places through Central Allocation in Stage V of the S6 Admission Procedure.

The school places will be allocated on the basis of the applicants' Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination results, the choices that they have made and the subject requirements of the schools chosen.

Results will be released on the Education & Manpower Bureau homepage  on August 18 (Wednesday) at 6pm. They will be posted at all Regional Education Offices from 9am the following day.

Registration in person on August 19

Successful applicants should go in person to the school allocated for registration before 3.30pm on August 19, bringing along their Hong Kong Identity Card and their current year HKCEE Results Notice.

Those who are still unable to secure an S6 place after the completion of Stage V may be able to get a place at the beginning of the new school year because some successful students may decide not to take up their places. Vacancy information will be available on the EMB homepage and at all Regional Education Offices throughout September. Applications should be made to these schools direct.

Students can also choose from a wide range of further studies opportunities, including Project Yi Jin, post-secondary programmes run by various institutions, the Youth Pre-employment Training Programme, the Youth Work Experience and Training Scheme, the Youth Self-employment Support Scheme and training places provided by the Vocational Training Council.
