The Labour Department will stage a recruitment forum tomorrow at the department's Tsuen Wan Job Centre, offering nearly 400 jobs in the apparel retail, catering and security sectors.
The monthly salary of these jobs ranges from $5,400 to $8,000. Positions include sales, shop assistants, customer service officers and security guards. On-the-spot applications will be accepted and selection interviews arranged.
The department will also provide on-site registration for employment service.
Selected vacancies will be displayed while computers will be available for job seekers to browse the department's huge job information data bank.
Helping people find jobs in their region
The forum is one of the department's regionalised recruitment forums to be held in local job centres to help job seekers in nearby areas.
It is part of the department's continued efforts in improving its employment services.
Other measures include a recent publicity campaign targeting 80,000 small and medium sized enterprises to solicit more vacancies and the forthcoming installation of job-search terminals at 38 Social Security Field Units of the Social Welfare Department offices.
The event will be held at 2/F, Tsuen Wan Government Offices, 38 Sai Lau Kok Road, Tsuen Wan from 10am to 3.30pm.
