Tsang Tak-sing tours Tai O
Tai O visit: Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing inspects a Tai O site affected by recent rainstorms.

Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing has pledged all efforts will be made to bring Tai O residents' lives back to normal.

Two more additional ferry sailings between Tai O and Tung Chung have been arranged to help Tai O residents isolated by the weekend's rainstorm.

One will operate from Tai O to Tung Chung at 6.30am on Sundays and public holidays while the other will run from Tung Chung to Tai O at 8am weekdays.

Mr Tsang toured Tai O today to inspect sites affected by the storms and landslides, and to listen to residents' concerns.

He said the Home Affairs Department will co-ordinate Government efforts to help residents get back to normal life as soon as possible. The Islands District Office emergency co-ordinating centre will stay open to maintain close ties with residents and offer help. Additional staff will be deployed if needed.

Civil Aid Service staff are helping residents clear debris.
