The Registration & Electoral Office has sent poll cards to the 12,000-plus registered voters who are eligible to vote in the Sham Shui Po District Council Lai Kok Constituency by-election on August 3.
The Sham Shui Po District Office has also sent them an appeal letter, a map of their designated polling stations, a voting guide, an ICAC leaflet on clean elections, and a leaflet introducing the candidates.
The two candidates contesting the by-election are Fan Kwok Fai, a labour services social worker, and Tracy Lai, also a social worker.
There are two polling stations - at Lai Kok Community Hall in Lai Kok Estate, Cheung Sha Wan, and Shop No CX28, G/F, Fu Cheong Shopping Centre, Fu Cheong Estate, Sham Shui Po.
The polling stations will be open to voters from 7.30am to 10.30pm on August 3.
After the close of polls, the main counting station will be set up in the Lai Kok Community Hall polling station, while another counting station will be located at the Fu Cheong Shopping Centre polling station.
Eligible voters who have not yet received their poll cards should call the election hotline on 2891 1001 or make enquiries by fax on 2891 1180.
The by-election is being held to fill a seat that became vacant after Sham Shui Po District Council member Wong Chung-ki was disqualified from holding office.
