FS to visit Europe
Financial Secretary Paul Chan will depart later today for Europe, where he will visit London and Milan, before returning to Hong Kong on Saturday.
In London, Mr Chan will attend a series of events, including a "Hong Kong Dinner" hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and a lunch organised by the UK-based Hong Kong Association.
He will also meet local business and financial leaders, as well as representatives of family offices, to brief them on developments in Hong Kong and promote the city's advantages.
Mr Chan will then proceed to Milan with a delegation to participate in the "Think Business, Think Hong Kong" promotional event and a "Hong Kong Dinner", both organised by the HKTDC.
The delegation will comprise representatives from government agencies including the Monetary Authority, the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises and Invest Hong Kong, as well as public organisations such as Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd, the Science & Technology Parks Corporation, the Tourism Board and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority,
It will also include representatives of industry organisations and enterprises from sectors including finance, artificial intelligence, information technology, biotech, logistics, design and professional services.
Mr Chan will also meet industrial and business leaders and corporate executives in Milan.
During his absence, Deputy Financial Secretary Michael Wong will be Acting Financial Secretary.
