A job fair will be held at Southorn Stadium in Wan Chai on Thursday and Friday, with more than 3,800 vacancies on offer to job seekers, the Labour Department announced today.

Among the vacancies, more than 2,300 are from property management and real estate, retail and transport industries, the department added.

About 60 organisations will participate in the fair, with half of them setting up booths on-site and conducting on-the-spot recruitment each day.

The roles being hired for include senior technician officer, tea master, lounge supervisor, beauty consultant, store manager, factory technician, assistant manager, chef de partie, recreation assistant, laboratory technician, bus captain and security officer.

Around 92% of the vacancies at the fair are full-time jobs, with most of them offering monthly salaries ranging from $11,000 to $24,000.

Among the vacancies, about 93% require a Secondary 7 education level or below, depending on the job, and around 66% are open to people without relevant work experience.

The fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm and admission is free. Job seekers can submit applications on-site and may be selected for on-the-spot interviews.
