The Lands Department today announced the resumption of land at Shing Tak Street/Ma Tau Chung Road in Kowloon City to carry out an urban renewal development project.

The project was included in the Urban Renewal Authority's Business Plan for 2020-21.

The project site, with an area of about 5,164 sq m, will see 155 private property interests resumed under the Lands Resumption Ordinance.

It will be redeveloped for residential use with retail/commercial facilities, as well as underground ancillary parking and loading/unloading facilities.

The affected interests will revert to the Government three months from the date on which the resumption notices are affixed on-site.

Eligible domestic property owners will, apart from statutory compensation, be offered an ex-gratia home purchase allowance or a supplementary allowance.

Eligible domestic tenants will be offered rehousing or an ex-gratia allowance.

Details of the private land affected were gazetted today.
