167 cases found in restricted areas

The Government today announced that 167 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Sham Shui Po, Tsuen Wan, Kwun Tong and Aberdeen.

 

It made a restriction-testing declaration yesterday for Cheong Chung House of Nam Cheong Estate in Sham Shui Po where 501 people were tested and seven preliminary positive cases were identified.

 

At Kwai Shue House of Lei Muk Shue (II) Estate in Tsuen Wan, 820 people were tested and 32 preliminary positive cases were detected.

 

For Tsui Yue House of Tsui Ping (North) Estate in Kwun Tong where 680 people underwent testing, 43 preliminarily tested positive for the virus.

 

Concerning Lei Chak House of Ap Lei Chau Estate in Aberdeen, 85 out of the 2,230 people tested received preliminary positive results.

 

There were also 36 indeterminate cases in the restricted areas, the Government added.

 

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
