In view of the severe COVID-19 epidemic situation, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced that all gazetted beaches will be closed from tomorrow until further notice to reduce crowds from gathering and avoid transmitting the virus.

Lifesaving services at such beaches have been suspended since the onset of the fifth wave of the epidemic.

The department said it will also strengthen the cordoning off of the beaches to prevent the public from entering.
