The Government today announced that 48 preliminary positive COVID-19 cases and one indeterminate case were detected in Ching Long House, Ching Ho Estate in Sheung Shui.

Ching Long House was covered in a restriction-testing declaration on February 15 and the period of the operation was extended to today. People in the restricted areas were required to stay in their premises and undergo two virus tests.

The compulsory testing exercise finished at around 12.30pm today with a total of 3,410 people being tested.

The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on each of the cases found.

Subsequently, enforcement action was carried out in the restricted area. About 170 people’s test records were checked and nobody was found to have not undergone testing.
