Government staff register people subject to compulsory testing in Block C, New Kwai Fong Gardens to undergo testing.

The Government today announced that two preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were detected in Block C, New Kwai Fong Gardens in Kwai Fong and Hsin Kuang Centre in Wong Tai Sin.

 

It made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover Block C, New Kwai Fong Gardens and Hsin Kuang Centre Block 1 and Block 2, where about 515 and 1,030 people were tested.

 

The two preliminary positive cases have been referred to the Centre for Health Protection for follow-up.

 

In the subsequent enforcement operations, about 477 people's test records were checked. Two people in New Kwai Fong Gardens and 37 people in Hsin Kuang Centre were found to have not undergone testing and were issued with a compulsory testing order.

 

The Government also made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover On Shun Building in Kwun Tong and Cheung Bor House, Choi Wan (I) Estate. No positive cases were found after the compulsory testing exercises.

 

Meanwhile, the seven-day lockdown operation at Yat Kwai House, Kwai Chung Estate finished this morning.

 

As at January 27, 14,518 people had been tested and a total of 139 confirmed cases were found.

 

The Government has assigned staff to visit 1,059 households and will follow-up on those who did not undergo compulsory testing.
