The Government today approved a $3.886 million grant for World Vision Hong Kong to aid typhoon victims in the Philippines.

The grant will be used to provide food packs, hygiene kits and household kits to around 25,370 victims.

It will bring the accumulative value of grants and number of beneficiaries to $4.426 million and 34,370. The Government noted that as the relief agencies are targeting different localities, there will be no overlapping of resources.

To ensure the money is used properly, World Vision Hong Kong must submit an evaluation report and an audited account after the relief project is completed.
