Government staff check the COVID-19 test record of a person subject to compulsory testing in the Sham Shui Po restricted area.

The Government announced that two preliminary positive COVID-19 cases were detected in the To Kwa Wan restricted area, while no positive cases were found in another area in Sham Shui Po.

It made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover Nos. 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33 and 35 Hung Kwong Street in To Kwa Wan and Wai Chun House in Sham Shui Po, where about 190 and 40 people were tested.

The two preliminary positive cases found in the To Kwa Wan restricted area have been referred to the Centre for Health Protection for follow-up.

In the subsequent enforcement operations, about 80 people's test records were checked. Three people were found to have not undergone testing and were issued with a compulsory testing order.

Government staff also visited around 105 households in the two areas, of which about 30 did not answer the door. These households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.

According to the compulsory testing notices issued yesterday, those who had stayed in these buildings within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted areas when the declarations took effect.
