Government staff register the details of people subject to compulsory testing in the restricted area covering Hing Fung Building in Sham Shui Po before they undergo COVID-19 tests.

The Government announced that a preliminary positive COVID-19 case was detected in the Tai Wo Hau restricted area, while no positive cases were found in another restricted area in Sham Shui Po.

It made restriction-testing declarations last night to cover Fu Tak House of Tai Wo Hau Estate and Hing Fung Building in Sham Shui Po, where about 1,695 and 80 people were tested.

The preliminary positive case found in the Tai Wo Hau restricted area has been referred to the Centre for Health Protection for follow-up.

In the subsequent enforcement operations, about 800 people's test records were checked and nobody was found to have not undergone compulsory testing.

Government staff also visited around 735 households in the two areas, of which about 40 did not answer the door. These households are urged to contact the Government promptly to arrange testing.

According to the compulsory testing notices issued yesterday, those who had stayed in these two buildings within a specified period for more than two hours must undergo testing by tomorrow even if they were not in the restricted areas when the declarations took effect.
